Energy-dense sesquiterpenes have already been identified as potential next-generation jet fuels that may be renewably produced from lignocellulosic biomass. We developed a biomass deconstruction and transformation procedure that enabled manufacturing of two tricyclic sesquiterpenes, epi-isozst report of prespatane as a substitute jet gas.Our findings suggest that prespatane and epi-isozizaene inside their hydrogenated states would be attractive blending options in Jet A
